Offset teases collaboration with Quavo one year after Takeoff's death

Offset has teased a possible collaboration with Quavo one year after Takeoff's death.

While speaking to The Breakfast Club for a new interview, the Clout rapper said that he and Quavo were still healing following the death of their Migos bandmate Takeoff.

"That's my brother at the end of the day," Offset, 31, told hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. "We good though. We just spoke in Paris."

Offset formed the rap group Migos in 2008 with his classmate Takeoff and Takeoff's uncle Quavo. Takeoff died in November last year, aged 28, after being shot outside of a Houston, Texas bowling alley.

"We be talking because we be going through little emotions with this s**t, and it don't be for the public. Everything ain't for the public to be kiki-ing," Offset continued, referring to his and Quavo's conversations following Takeoff's death. "We still gotta move in our own worlds. It's all love at the end of the day. We lost a brother; we can't rock out."

When asked whether he and Quavo would collaborate in the future, Offset replied, "I think so."

He did not confirm any musical collaboration plans currently in the works.

"It's more about me creating my foot in the game. Also I got my own - business-wise - I got my own... I'm a grown man," he said. "I got five kids too, so I gotta make sure I'm putting that food on the table."

While Quavo and Takeoff released joint material together before the latter's death, Offset and Quavo haven't collaborated on new music since the 2021 Migos album Culture III.
