Nostalgic chocolate returns to all UK supermarkets as shoppers 'stock up'
One of the UK's most beloved chocolate treats that was axed a few years ago is officially making a comeback to every major supermarket next month.
It's no secret that Milky Way's Crispy Rolls were one of the most popular treats you could buy when they were available. In fact, the decision to axe the treat in 2022 was met with outrage, with fans signing petitions to bring them back.
Those lamenting the loss will be pleased to hear that Mars Wrigley is bringing them back after almost three years. They will reclaim their place on store shelves from Saturday, February 1 - and they will be joined by two new flavours.

For fans too eager to wait, Iceland has gotten ahead of the game by announcing that Milky Way's Crispy Rolls are officially back in stock now. This also includes the brand new Bounty and Twix Crispy Rolls, where they are priced at 50p each, or £1.20 for all three.
The fan-favourite treat, which is available as a two-pack, combines a crispy wafer, a soft centre and a smooth milk chocolate coating. They were so popular that the decision to axe them in 2022 led to one petition gaining a whopping 8,000 signatures from loyal fans.
After it was discovered that Crispy Rolls and the new additions were now available at Iceland, shoppers said they would be "stocking up". The frozen foods supermarket said: "THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Your favourite Milkyway Crispy Rolls are BACK! and they've brought us TWO EXTRA ADDITIONS!
"Bounty Crispy Rolls. Twix Crispy Rolls Get ANY 3 FOR £1.20 or 50p EACH!"
Of course, numerous delighted fans couldn't hide their enthusiasm, as one wrote: "AHHHHHHHH IM DEFFO GETTING THEM."
A second eager fan gushed: "Omg I was in iceland earlier wish id saw this going to stock up tomoz."
Someone else remarked: "OMG they’re back."
Before the comeback news was announced, Mars Wrigley began teasing chocolate fans with the return of its Crispy Rolls with cryptic billboards in key locations across London. They featured impassioned tweets from chocolate fans who were still lamenting the loss.
Speaking of the decision to bring Crispy Rolls back, a Mars Wrigley spokesperson said: "“We never anticipated just how passionate the response would be when Milky Way Crispy Rolls were discontinued.
"It became clear that this iconic treat holds a special place in people’s hearts, and we knew we had to bring it back!”
It's not the only exciting news for chocolate lovers, as three new flavours of KitKat were discovered exclusively at Tesco Express stores. The supermarket is now stocking the flavours salted caramel, hazelnut and double chocolate for £1.50, or £1.35 for Clubcard members.
The Milky Way Crispy Rolls, Twix Crispy Rolls and Bounty Crispy Rolls are available in Iceland stores now. They will be available at all other supermarkets from Saturday, February 1.
