Northern Lights at Temple Newsam: Festive illumination trail launch date, map and ticket info
Leeds will welcome a new festive illumination installation this winter and here’s everything you need to know.
Yorkshire’s newest festive spectacular, Northern Lights launches in November and will offer families a Christmas experience organisers are hoping they will love. Taking place at Temple Newsam park, the festivities come from award-winning event organisers From The Fields.
Taking place within the grounds of the Grade I-listed gardens of beloved Leeds landmark Temple Newsam house, Northern Lights will take visitors on a jaw-dropping journey through a spectrum of illuminations accompanied by unique musical compositions. Northern Lights will launch on Thursday, November 21. It will run through to Tuesday, December 31.

The Northern Lights team has shared the map for this year's event detailing the one-mile paved walk through a festive wonderland that includes 15 distinct illuminated zones including the stunning Rainbow Road, Bifrost Bridge, Light Up The Sky and lots more as well as the picturesque Marshmallow Toasting and Christmas Village
Installation highlights
Here are some of the highlights you and your family can enjoy during a trip to Northern Lights at Temple Newsam in Leeds:
Rivers Of Light - As seen at Blenheim Palace and Kew Gardens, watch out for the EPIC Rivers of Light. In the shadow of Temple Newsam grounds, a dozen rivers will flow across the ground in an epic, immersive display.
Aurora Rising - A mesmerising Lake Show inspired by Aurora Boreali. This breathtaking illumination will combine lights on the water, earth and air in a spectacular fashion.
Will O The Wisps - Enter Fairy Paradise at Will-o-the-Wisps, with a thousand sparks of light dance playfully, illuminating the night forest.
