Non-Americans: Tell Me The Perceptions You Had About The US Before You Visited And Tell Me What You Think Now
Depending on where in the US you're talking about, peceptions differ wildly. New Yorkers are rude, Midwesterners are all hockey players or farmers, and everyone in California is a matcha-drinking influencer. Right?! Well...
For non-Americans who've visited America, I want to know what perceptions you had about the US before visiting. And what do you think about it now?
Maybe you thought everybody was going to be super patriotic. Were they? Or was it different than you expected?
Maybe you thought everybody would be overweight and eat McDonald's all the time. We do love those golden arches. Tell me about it!
If you visited a state with a big reputation — like Texas or California, but it can be another one! — did your visit live up to your expectations? Or was it totally different than you thought it was going to be?
Maybe you found it surprising that there are so many flags everywhere, or how big the portion sizes are, or how talkative everybody is. I want to hear about it!
