The tie-front blouse has been the micro-trend of the season, seen on cool girls everywhere from Copenhagen (where it originated, thank you Ganni), to social media and all the stylish streets near you.

But there's one style that's become something of a hero in its own right, with everyone from author and wellness influencer Louise Thompson to actor Sophie Turner living in it this summer. If you've been sleeping on Nobody's Child's Birdie Blouse, let us introduce you before it flies off the shelves (again).

The must-have top in question stands out for its oversized scallop-trim Peter Pan collar, cute little buttons running down the front, and, of course, its on-trend string tie detailing. The three designs (sleeveless, puff-sleeve and long-sleeve) are made from 100% organic cotton – and unbelievably, prices start from just £45.

Our favourite for summer is the sleeveless white iteration – new for this year – but we also love the original black and white gingham colourway (currently sold out in most sizes, but you can request a notification when it's back).

Louise has both but can be seen wearing the above top with wide-leg linen trousers, black flip-flops and layered jewellery in a recent Instagram post from a weekend away in Cornwall.

Sophie, meanwhile, paired a long-sleeve green gingham blouse with blue jeans for a countryside picnic earlier this summer. Her choice is available in six colourways, including pink gingham, white and floral on a black base.

For the current heatwave, though, we'll be sticking with either the sleeveless blouse above or the puff-sleeve option – it really does go with everything, .
