No7 expands its record-breaking Future Renew skincare range, here's why it's worth buying

I'm a beauty expert, here's why the collection is worth adding to your skincare routine.

No7 is a well-loved skincare brand for its potent anti-ageing serums and hydrating moisturisers, but one of its newest launches, unveiled in April 2023, offered its most scientifically-advanced formulas yet. Future Renew is the now record-breaking collection, spanning a SPF40 day cream, night cream, serum and eye cream, which the brand says helps to "reverse the appearance" of skin damage.

Quick overview

It's launch had been 15 years in the making, as No7's science research team discovered a 'super-peptide' known as Pepticology – the biggest cosmetic science innovation in the brand's history. As you'd expect from this expert-created brand, it had been rigorously tested in 37 studies on over 4,200 people, making it "the most extensive and diverse testing programme in No7’s history."

🛍️ Product reviewed: No7 Future Renew collection
Tested for: Two months
Rating: 4/5
💸 Reasons to buy: The formulas are high-tech, instantly skin-smoothing and reasonably priced compared to luxury competitors
Reasons to avoid: Out of all the products I feel the eye cream is nice, but probably not essential
💰 Best deal we've found: Save £10 on individual Future Renew products, plus get free standard delivery with the code REVERSE10

The four-piece collection has rave reviews from customers and is a firm favourite in my skincare routine too. Effective, sensitive skin-friendly and reasonably priced for the innovation inside each bottle, it's no wonder it's become a big hit.

£85 at Boots

Fast forward to September 2023 and No7 announced Future Renew to be the fastest selling range in the brand's history. Very impressive. Prior to its launch, it accumulated a waitlist of 94,000 eager customers, and sold more products in the first two weeks than any other No7 launch.

The day it launched at Boots, one item from the collection sold every two seconds, with a whopping 500,000 transactions in the first four weeks. That's impressive stuff.

So popular in fact, the No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum has now been named as Boots' best-selling skincare product of 2023. Quickly followed by the Future Renew Day Cream SPF40 and Future Renew Night Cream. Intrigued to find out more? Here's everything you need to know.

The science behind Future Renew is rather complicated but put simply, the 'super-peptide' blend tricks the skin into thinking it's damaged, which kickstarts its recovery and renewal process.

As a result, it boosts the production of collagen and fibrillin – also known as key components for skin plumpness and elasticity. This whole ecosystem means it can more effectively tackle skin damage caused by sun exposure, environmental pollution, stress, sleep, temperature and nutrition.

No7’s Head of Science Research Dr Mike Bell explained: “The new peptide blend therefore supports skin’s natural self-repair mechanisms, targeting signs of cumulative damage both on and under the surface. This is a world-first technology only available from No7. We believe it is going to be a game changer for consumers.”

With the formula boasting numerous benefits, such as tackling fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, skin tone, dryness and loss of firmness – it has plenty of bold claims and I was keen to put to the test.

Due to popular demand, No7 has just added a new product to the Future Renew range, a SPF 50 that is not only designed to protect your skin against sun damage, but also reduces the signs of ageing.

UV sunlight is the number one cause of visible skin damage, which is why suncream is so important. In fact, a whopping 80% of premature skin ageing is caused by the sun, causing the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone and dryness.

This serum is the centrepiece of the Future Renew range and contains a cocktail of hard-working ingredients, including niacinamide to brighten, hyaluronic acid to hydrate, vitamin c for dullness and its patented peptide blend. You can also buy it in a 25ml tube for £34.95.

It's a gel texture that's fast-absorbing and I appreciated the thin nozzle that meant it's basically impossible to apply too much or make a mess. I used it day and night on cleansed skin before using the moisturiser.

I was impressed with how smooth and soft it made my skin, improving texture in just a week. It sits well under make-up too and didn't irritate my reactive, sensitive skin which is prone to hormonal acne and rosacea so it'll definitely be remaining a daily part of my skincare routine.

Love a rich, creamy moisturiser to soothe dry skin? You'll love this. It's a traditional cream with the added bonus of SPF40.

A formula rich in antioxidants, humectants, active ingredients including vitamin C and rice proteins, which help to brighten and hydrate skin within just a week.

I can't deny this is a lovely cream, especially if your skin is feeling lacklustre. Perfect for the changing seasons, it creates a smooth canvas for make-up.

If you have oily skin I would avoid this as it's a thick cream, however if you're dry and dehydrated, this is a good night's sleep in a jar.

Rich and luxurious, it's formulated with shea butter, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid – three fantastic ingredients which moisturise, hydrate and firm.

Despite its creamy texture, it didn't feely heavy, instead it melted onto my skin in seconds leaving behind a subtle radiance and gently floral scent. Within two weeks, I saw a improvement in skin suppleness.

This eye cream is designed to improve the appearance of pesky fine lines, puffiness and uneven tone – three things I could always do with help with.

It has a lovely, fast-absorbing gel-to-cream texture, a thin nozzle for easy application and a travel-friendly tube.

However, as nice as it is, I don't think it's essential to your skincare routine. The Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum would do a fine job without the need for an extra eye-specific product, but if you have the budget for an extra step in your routine for a luxury eye cream, this does a nice job.

You can currently get £10 off all individual Future Renew products and get free standard delivery with the code REVERSE10. This deal is online only and the discount code needs to be applied at the checkout.

The deal can't be used on the bundles, however if you want to totally revamp your skincare routine with the new Future Renew range, the bundles are still a great value option with huge savings.

For example, you can buy a bundle with all of the four original items (worth £129.80) for just £85 – that's a £44.80 saving.

No7 have also just added three new bundles that include the new SPF 50. Two cost £79.95 and are worth £119.80, each include four products, one tailored towards day creams and the second to your night routine.

Or, if you want a complete overhaul and try every single product, you can do so. The new bundle offers all five of the record-breaking Future Renew range, which are worth £162.75, but you can buy them all in this excellent value bundle for £99.95 - that's a £62.80 saving.

This set contains all five products from the Future Renew range:

-No7 Future Renew Defence Shield SPF50 50ml

-No7 Future Renew Serum 50ml
