Nicole Kidman delighted fans and was taking them way back to 1983 in a t-shirt featuring her film BMX Bandits emblazoned across it to celebrate BMX rider Logan Martin's historic gold medal win at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

The Hollywood star wore the coveted t-shirt with a pair black leather trousers while signalling the thumbs up. "Congratulations from this BMX Bandit to @LoganMartinBMX for winning the first ever Olympic Gold Medal for #FreestyleBMX!" Nicole captioned her photo.

Logan, 27, won the BMX Freestyle, the first cycling gold medal for Australia at the Tokyo Games.

Fans loved the nostalgic throwback, with one commenting: "Omg I need this shirt, this was my favourite movie as a child."

Another added: "An iconic movie!"

Nicole starred in the Aussie crime comedy action movie when she was 16, playing one part of a trio of teen BMX enthusiasts who become entangled with a group of bank robbers after discovering their cache of walkie-talkies.

In the film, Nicole can be seen sporting her famous red curls, which she recently went back to for HBO drama The Undoing. She has since revealed her new pixie cut for her Apple + TV anthology series Roar, co-starring Merritt Weaver, Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo, and Glow's Alison Brie.

The series is based on Cecelia Ahern's book of short stories of the same title,

with each episode focusing on a single story as told from a female perspective.

Nicole will also star in Nine Perfect Strangers, collaborating with The Undoing and Big Little Lies show-runner David E Kelley. The drama is adapted from Big Little Lies author Liane Moriaty's best-selling novel.
