Nicole Kidman is chic in pinstripe suit and slogan T-shirt
Nicole Kidman offered up the perfect formula for smart casual dressing this week, when she appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City.
The actress arrived at the television studio wearing a double-breasted pinstripe blazer featuring a flower corsage on the collar, which she paired with a sheer shirt, matching pinstripe wide-leg trousers, black heels and another office go-to – a black leather tote.
Following her appearance on the US late night chat show, Kidman put a relaxed spin on her put-together outfit by pairing her two-piece with a white slogan T-shirt, an unexpected addition to the elegant look. While there's no doubt that classic pinstripe tailoring has a polished appeal, Kidman showed that adding an everyday basic can instantly dress it down the perfect amount.
Kidman's T-shirt also served as a subtle promotion for her new film, Babygirl, an erotic thriller due to be released in the UK in early January.
The star, who has been promoting the movie in recent weeks, attended the Los Angeles premiere earlier this month wearing a stunning Balenciaga haute couture gown. The strapless column style featured intricate pink, white and green floral embellishment and a black velvet bow belt at the waist.
Kidman plays the leading role in Babygirl as Romy, a high-powered CEO who has an affair with a young intern, Samuel (played by British actor Harris Dickinson).
