Nicola Peltz breaks silence on skipping Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday
Victoria Beckham's daughter-in-law, Nicola Peltz, has explained why she wasn't in attendance at the former Spice Girl's 50th birthday bash.
The 29 year old shared a photo of David and Victoria Beckham posing with their children before the A-list party, as she broke her silence on why she couldn’t make it. The wife of Brooklyn Beckham revealed that she had opted to spend time with her elderly grandmother instead.
The actress took to her Instagram Stories as she wrote: "Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham I'm so sad I'm not there to celebrate you and hug you! Sending all my love from me and my naunni [white love heart emoji] I miss you all so much!"
Nicola’s beloved grandmother, Gina, who she calls "naunni," was her Maid of Honour when she married Brooklyn in 2022.
Despite opting to skip Victoria's party, Nicola did pay a special tribute to the fashion designer on her big day. The actress shared a photo of them together on social media as she wrote: "Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham I love you so much and love being your dance partner forever."
On her 50th birthday, David also shared a gushing message to his wife on social media, writing: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife. As you head into this birthday you should look back and be proud of what you have accomplished, achieved & what you have built, Posh Spice, business woman & of course marrying an England captain."
Victoria’s glitzy 50th celebration was attended by huge stars including Tom Cruise and Jason Statham, along with her Spice Girls bandmates, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, actress Eva Longoria, and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Victoria who officially turned 50 on the Wednesday 17 April, was also joined at her birthday bash by her family, husband David Beckham, sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper.
The famous family posed for a group snap before heading to the party, as the boys all looked suave in tuxedos and bow ties, while Harper wore a satin cream dress.
The birthday girl, Victoria, looked stunning as ever in a flowing see-through mesh green gown, with her long brunette hair in tousled curls.
Taking to Instagram before attending the bash to mark the milestone birthday, Victoria told her Instagram fans next to the series of family snaps: "Can't wait to celebrate with my friends and family! I love you all so much."
