NHL tough guy Zach Bogosian drops gloves with toddler son in adorable fight

Remember the name Hunter Bogosian, he might be the NHL's next elite fighter.

During some family time on the ice at the Lightning’s Amalie Arena this week, Tampa Bay defenseman Zach Bogosian showed his three-year-old son a thing or two about how to properly throw down at the top level.

It appears Hunter already knows all the rituals that come with a hockey fight.

The younger Bogosian instinctively dropped the gloves – a little dramatically, tossing them across the ice – and rolled up his sleeves to get ready for the battle. He might have wiped out before he even got close to his dad, but he got in some real damage, bopping Zach on the nose a couple times.

Bogosian was asked about the video and how he showed his son the moves.

“He asked me if I wanted to fight so he wanted to do it,” Bogosian said to Lightning reporter Gabby Shirley. “It was fun. You remember that age, what it was like, and to see him loving the game as much as I do it's like a proud dad moment.”

Bogosian is out here creating lasting memories for his kids while also hoping to win his second Stanley Cup. After his contract was terminated by the Buffalo Sabres in the middle of the 2019-20 season, he was picked up by the Lightning on the cheap and then went on to get his name engraved on the trophy just a few months later.

After a single year with the Toronto Maple Leafs, he signed a three-year deal back in Tampa and is yet again part of a true contender in the East. Bogosian has scored three goals and seven points while averaging 16 minutes a night through 34 games this season. He's also racked up 40 PIMs, not including his five-minute major for his tilt with Hunter.
