Meghan Markle looked stunning at the 2018 Wellchild Awards Tuesday, in a perfectly put together outfit, complete with a sweet royal family heirloom.

The Duchess of Sussex arrived at The Royal Lancaster Hotel alongside Prince Harry this afternoon for the annual event, which celebrates young people who are seriously ill and those who make a difference in their lives. For the occasion, Meghan chose an all-black look, consisting of an Altuzarra suit and 'Coco camisole shantung' black blouse. She also carried a Stella McCartney clutch and seemingly paired the ensemble with pearl earrings that were a gift from the Queen earlier this year. Style blogger GabiK first spotted the studs on Twitter:

The Duchess previously wore the earrings during her first solo engagement with the Queen in June, in which she and Her Majesty attended a series of event in Cheshire.

At the time, royal correspondent Emily Andrews shared on Twitter that Buckingham Palace confirmed the pearl earrings were indeed a gift from Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan and Queen Elizabeth II reportedly have a very close relationship, and the Duchess of Sussex will likely one day be able to endearingly call Her Majesty "mama."

In Meghan's post-engagement interview with Prince Harry for the BBC, she said of the Queen, "When I met her I had such a deep understanding and, of course, incredible respect for being able to have that time with her, and she’s an incredible woman.”
