New Look Wireless Festival Fashion Guide: From Sequined Bumbags To Feathered Headgear

We’re almost half way through the festival season, we’ve seen flares at Coachella, fringing at Glastonbury and embroidery at Blissfields, but now it’s time for New Look’s Wireless Festival.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to don crazy head wear - although we’re rather partial - or a pair of bum-scraping shorts. We scoured the web (and a few Pinterest boards, of course) to bring you the best festival fashion ahead of NL Wireless, so all you need to do know is brush up on your lyrics and have yourself a good time.

Fun With Fringing

Feeling brave and want to make an entrance? Then you need to get yourself some tassels. Fellow Girl On The Ground Naomi has paired suede tassels with a bohemian frock for the perfect festival power pair.

If you’re looking for something a bit more modern, try a suede fringe jacket with a pair of denim cut-offs.

Bohemian Smocks

Smocks that even Florence herself would be proud of, this is possibly one of the easiest trends to try. All you need is the dress (Beyond Retro always has a killer selection), some long necklaces and a pair of ankle boots and you’re ready to unleash your inner inebriated 70s hippy.

And if It’s raining, well duh, it’s England - of course it is! Like Leigh, pair it with some fancy wellies (bonus points if they’re gold!)

We will be trialing the bohemian dress trend for New Look’s Wireless festival, opting for a smock dress from New Look. We love just how easy it is to style and just how comfortable it is. If it’s raining pair it with some knee high wellies, if there’s sun then team it up with a pair of comfortable Converse.

Feeling a bit of a breeze? Have no fear, the tassels are here! Throw on a faux suede fringed jacket and you’re on to a winner.

Embroidered Peasant Tops

The peasant top is a lot fancier then the name suggests. Yanin pairs hers with a statement necklace and chunky cat eye sunglasses for a modern twist on the 70s trend. Wanna jazz it up a bit more? Then give it the cold shoulder (the literal kind). We’re loving the bardot-style peasant top this season.

The Accessories

A look is never complete without accessories and a festival staple is the infamous bum bag, but forget your dad’s holiday ‘fanny pack’, these bad boys have had themselves a little make over.
