Will Netflix's The Imperfects get a season 2? Here's all the info
Netflix fans have found a brand new TV show to get obsessed with: and that's supernatural sci-fi drama, The Imperfects.
The series was released last week (8 September) and it's already landed in Netflix's Top 10 list, with viewers gushing over how brilliant the show is.
To recap, The Imperfects' official synopsis reads: "After undergoing an experiment that gives them monstrous side effects, Abbi, Tilda and Juan join forces to hunt down the scientist responsible and force him to make them human again." Intriguing stuff.
Of course, following season one's success viewers are already looking ahead to a potential season two. Here's what we know about a second season of The Imperfects so far...
Has The Imperfects season 2 been confirmed?
Unfortunately, The Imperfects season two hasn't been confirmed just yet. But we're still holding out hope!
Thanks to the series' current popularity, there's a chance that Netflix might want to extend that success and renew the show for season two. Fingers crossed!
Who might star in The Imperfects season 2?
If season two goes ahead, we'd expect many of our favourite season one cast members to return too. So, providing all goes well, that includes: Rhianna Jagpal as Abbi, Morgan Taylor Campbell as Tilda, Iñaki Godoy as Juan and Italia Ricci as Dr. Sydney Burke.
There's also Rhys Nicholson as Dr. Alex Sarkov, Celina Martin as Hannah and Kyra Zagorsky as Isabel. Plus, it's likely that some new characters would appear on the horizon too.
What could happen in The Imperfects season 2?
Season one sees our protagonists searching for a cure for their supernatural abilities. However, when they finally find one at the end of the series, Tilda opts to keep her powers in order to help people. Meanwhile, Juan and Abbi discover that their cure isn't actually permanent.
Elsewhere, the monster virus has now taken over the city, leaving lots of potential plot points open for season two. Are we now back to square one? Or somewhere even worse?
There's also Dr. Alex Sarkov, the scientist who experiment on the trio. It turns out Sarkov himself was also experimented on without realising, which could also pave the way for more season two developments.
When might The Imperfects season 2 be released?
We'll have to wait on season two confirmation before getting any intel on a release date. Series one dropped on 8 September 2022, so we'd expect any season two to arrive some time in late 2023. Watch this space.
