First look at Net-A-Porter's £225 beauty Christmas advent calendar

Net-A-Porter has released the first look at its 2019 beauty advent calendar.

Packed with both full-size and travel buys, this year’s festive countdown is fit to burst with cult favourites to give your skin, body and hair a pre-Christmas beauty boost.

For make-up fanatics, there’s a Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips liquid lipstick, an Eyeko Black Magic Eyeliner and Marc Jacobs Beauty Deluxe Velvet Noir Mascara.

A Barbara Sturm Anti-Ageing Primer and Dr Sebagh Serum Repair will ensure your skin’s as smooth as can be, while a Votary Blemish Rescue will help your complexion fight the festive season fatigue we all know (and love).

Hair products include an Oribe Mystify Restyling Spray, which will help combat any winter frizz, and a Philip B Forever Shine Shampoo that will keep your locks in check throughout December and beyond.

It’s a carefully-curated selection from one of the most luxury retailers out there - so make sure you mark your diaries for October when it’s set to launch.

It’s not cheap: the 2019 edition will set you back £225 (a £75 increase on last year’s calendar, which, somewhat oddly, is still available to purchase), but the fact that it’s full of £790 worth of products should help lessen the pain of the splurge.

It also likely won’t be the most expensive alternative advent calendar of 2019. Liberty London’s 2018 advent calendar cost £195, Jo Malone’s cost a jaw-dropping £280 and Diptique’s did the most damage to bank balances last year, with a price tag of £320.

So, presumably, all three brands will serve up bigger, better and more expensive Christmas countdowns this year.
