This shot of Kushti, Indian Wrestling, shows two ’pelwhans’ glory - oiled loincloths, a clay pit mixed with salt, lemon and ghee at the end of a wrestle. The participants cover themselves in the earth and have a relaxation ceremony that shows mutual respect. By Alain Schroeder.
