LVMH and Chanel link on sustainability
During an LVMH event centered around sustainability on Thursday, the luxury group announced that it will be cooperating with Chanel to "harmonize corporate and social responsibility reporting and audit schedules at the supplier level," WWD reports. LVMH also shared plans for a partnership with its suppliers titled Life 360 Business Partners and will launch an initiative called LVMH Circularity, which plans to reuse unsold products across group houses. "I believe it is our duty to know how to rise above the usual patterns. This is why we have chosen to invite certain competitors today," LVMH chief Bernard Arnault said during the event. "Progress of any kind is crucial. We must join forces." {WWD/paywalled}

Diesel and Lee collaborate on upcycled denim capsule
Diesel is introducing Dieseloves, an ongoing program and call-to-action for fellow brands to share existing materials, manufacturing and creative resources for change. For each Dieseloves collection, Diesel will offer its unsold stock to the joint creative team and invite its collaborator to do the same in order to create a limited-edition capsule made from existing materials. The first partner is the denim brand Lee, and the Dieseloves Lee collection features 3,000 limited-edition pairs of jeans that are one-half Diesel and one-half Lee. All of Diesel's profits from Dieseloves will be donated to the United Nations Refugee Agency via the OTB Foundation. The full collection will launch in March 2024 on both brands' websites. {Fashionista inbox}
