These are the stories making headlines in fashion on Wednesday.

Glossier is the USA Basketball Women's National Team's first beauty partner
Building on its partnership with the WNBA, Glossier has become an official beauty partner of the USA Basketball Women's National Team ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. This will entail gifting the team products, as well as social media content, advertisements and "community engagement moments." "There's been a long-standing notion that beauty and sports don’t mix, and this partnership underscores the fact that that's simply not true," Glossier CEO Kyle Leahy said in a statement. {Fashionista inbox}

Givenchy names new CEO
Former Louis Vuitton executive Alessandro Valenti has been named CEO of Givenchy, replacing Renauld de Lesquen. The house is still awaiting the appointment of a new designer following the departure of Matthew Williams in December 2023. While Givenchy has fallen behind fellow LVMH labels in recent years, Valenti's appointment marks a new chapter for the brand. Executives hope his expertise will allow Givenchy to reach new milestones which he and a new creative director will expand upon once they're appointed. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

LVMH Métiers d'Art partners with Aupen
Accessories brand Aupen will move its production to France in a new partnership with LVMH Métiers d'Art. The group will provide Aupen with access to top-of-the-line facilities, some of which work with houses like Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Chanel. The partnership comes after Aupen, which produces bags and jewelry ranging in price from $140 to $420, paused production in May. {WWD/paywalled}
