Fforme creative director Paul Helbers exits
Fforme's Creative Director Paul Helbers, who brought menswear experience at The Row and Louis Vuitton to the emerging brand, has exited the company. He's replaced by Frances Howie, a former Stella McCartney design director, who will present her debut runway collection for Fall 2025 at New York Fashion Week in February. Fforme's Spring 2025 collection will not be formally presented, but it will be produced. {WWD/paywalled}

Savage X Fenty hires new CMO
Rihanna's Savage X Fenty has hired Vanessa Wallace as its new chief marketing officer. Wallace previously served as Nike's head of branding and most recently led marketing efforts for the Jordan Brand in North America and launched the Jordan Brand Women's Collective. As Savage X Fenty's CMO, Wallace will oversee brand and product marketing in addition to media, creative, membership and global communications. {WWD/paywalled}

The election spells uncertainty for fashion
Elections often mark an unsteady time for retail; amid the already chaotic 2024 American presidential election, retailers are bracing for shifts in consumer spending. "We are definitely in uncharted territory as far as election years and presidential elections go," Sky Canaves, principal retail and e-commerce analyst at Emarketer, told Vogue Business. "There's a great deal of unpredictability and consumer sentiment that's down to factors outside of the election, and that the election could have an impact on as well." Currently, consumer sentiment is ambivalent with consumer confidence readings bouncing up and down along with initial earnings reports detailing fluctuating consumer demand in the U.S. {Vogue Business/paywalled}
