MTV Geordie Shore cast member leaks air date for new series
Geordie Shore fans, brace yourselves! The much-anticipated new season is set to grace our screens in the New Year after the news was spoiled by Marnie Simpson herself.
In a candid Instagram Q&A session with her followers, Marnie dropped the bombshell that the reality show will be making its comeback in just a few months.
When quizzed by an eager fan, "When will the next series of Geordie Shore be out? ," Marnie teased, "I think it will be January."
The latest series promises to be a scorcher, having been filmed in the exotic locales of Thailand earlier this year, where the Geordie crew indulged in a sun-soaked retreat, reports the Mirror.
The ladies' lineup is looking fierce with Marnie Simpson, Holly Hagan, Sophie Kasaei, Chloe Ferry, Chantelle Connelly, and Abbie Holborn all jetting off for the adventure and ready to bring their A-game to the upcoming season.
Not to be outdone, the lads are also back for more Geordie shenanigans, with James Tindale, Kyle Christie, Nathan Henry, Ricci Guarnaccio, and Jay Gardner returning to the fold.
And hold onto your hats there's strong buzz that original gang member Scott Timlin might make his grand return after a hiatus from the show.
An insider previously dished to The Sun, revealing, "The Geordie cast are jetting off to Thailand in the coming days to film the show's biggest overseas cast trip ever."
They added, "They're blowing the budget on this big Asian jaunt to kick off the new series, and it's going to look gorgeous on camera as well as creating the perfect sunshine backdrop for lots of drama."
The source also hinted at the high stakes for the new series, saying, "Bosses really wanted to kick off the new series with a bang as there have been several big high profile departures with Marnie, Casey, Aaron, and of course, Charlotte leaving."
"But the show is still a massive priority for MTV - especially globally where it's huge on paramount plus - so they are still investing big money into it."
Charlotte Crosby dramatically exited the show after a major fallout with Marnie over the use of high-chairs.
Cooped up in a villa together, the tension between the cast escalated amid mess left unattended.
Following a particularly tense confrontation with Marnie, Charlotte decided to leave the premises with her family.
Despite completing the series, Charlotte has resolved to step away from the next season, prioritising her family life instead.
And while Marnie also initially suggested she was done with the show after wrapping up filming, it seems she's had second thoughts.
Geordie Shore is expected to return in January on Paramount+ and MTV although an official release date hasn't been confirmed.
