If you’re still under the impression that wellington boots aren’t stylish then may we point you in the direction of Kate Moss,Cara Delevingne and Kate Middleton (amongst many others).

These three famous faces are big fans of the wellies - whether they’re trudging through a festival field or just pairing them with jeans on a day out - and we’re very fond of the waterproof boots, too.

As the rainy winter weather sets in, we're all making sure we have everything we need for those muddy weekend walks, from warm outerwear to a new pair of comfortable and stylish wellies.

However, chic wellies don’t normally come cheap - a pair of fan-favourite Hunter wellies can set you back over £100.

So, we went on the hunt for a stylish high street alternative and struck gold when we came across this uber stylish pair from Marks and Spencer.

Their £25 Wellington Boots are on-trend, warm, comfortable and easy to pull on and off.

Not only do the classic wellies come with a modern, short twist so that you can wear them as part of your everyday outfit, but having launched last year with four styles, this year the brand has expanded to a whopping nine designs.

From trendy cheetah print, to polka dot and floral designs, as well as block navy, green, yellow and red - there are tons of options to choose from.

They're also very practical. Elastic at the sides means they're easy to pull on and your feet stay fresh and odour-free thanks to some nifty antibacterial padding.

What the reviews say:

In just over a year, the wellies have raked in five star reviews and now have almost 400 comments from happy customers saying they're very comfortable and easy to put on:

  • “I am delighted with these wellies. Ankle are so much easier to get on and off than long ones. I like the fabric gusset and the fabric tab to pull them on too. Also have some padding in the insole which will provide some insulation and comfort. I bought pink flowery and looking forward to wearing them.”

  • "They are such a lovely fit and so comfy, the tab at the back helps to pull them on, looking forward to wearing them, thank you M&S."

  • "I really love these boots. They are very comfortable, don’t leak and look like normal Chelsea boots. Great value for money."

  • "I bought these recently and they are ideal for my walks and very comfortable"

  • "Bought these just as the ‘autumn’ rain and storms started. Quick to slip on and good rain protection. A better fit for me than the expensive models I tried on."
