My name is Mia, and four years ago I left Ireland.

I moved to Tenerife with my son and my partner.

My son was two years old this time, and now he's seven and I'm letting you guys into a typical day in our lives.

This is the most typical day we woke up.

The first thing my son asked was to go to the pool.

We go to the pool literally, twice.

At the moment we're minding a friend's dog, so we just gave him some cuddles.

When we came home, there was laundry to do.

All of the sand from the clothes always piles up in like the rubber bit in the washing machine.

So I cleaned that up, things that you don't think about when you're living abroad.

Then I headed up to a roof terrace to hang out my load of laundry.

This is the best thing about living in a country where the sun is always shining and it's always hot.

It's so easy to do laundry.

This was already my third load of the day.

I had already put one out this morning that had fully dried.

As you can see from the view the wind is kind of hazy, and that is because we have a clima at the moment, which is sand from the Sahara Desert up into the air in Tenerife.

This is a really typical thing that happens in Tenerife, but not the nicest thing to happen, especially when the weather is already 30 degrees and it's already really humid and really hot.

Extra sand does not help.

I decided to clean the kitchen and then I made my dinner and I also started to meal prep for my meals the next day.

At the moment, I'm doing some personal training with an all women's gym kind of situation that I found, which I'm really happy, I found.

And it took me four years to find.

So believe me, when you move abroad, it will take you some time to find your feet and find your people.

After the gym, I headed home and brought the dog for a walk, and that was my day.

My name is Mia and four years ago I moved from Ireland to Spain.

I wanted to show you what a typical day looks like after I come home from work and collect Levi from school.

What I'm about to show you might be really simple, but it's one of the main reason is why I love living in Spain.

The culture of like coming home turning on the telly just doesn't exist here.

There's so much life after work and after school.

There's so much life in the evening that happens here.

This is around 630 to quarter to seven.

We were heading to get our hair cut.

And yes, that is him trying to flip me off.

After the haircuts, we headed to a home store called Leroy M. One thing I will say is I miss the stores being filled with, like Easter decorations celebrate Easter here but more of a religious side of it instead of like, let's say, the Easter Bunny so they don't have Easter Bunny treats or Easter Bunny decorations that you can get, even though over years I do see them converting more into these kind of holidays.

Like, for example, Halloween wasn't a thing here when we came here four years ago, but now they really do celebrate it.

There's a little coffee shop attached, so we did get a takeaway coffee and takeaway hot chocolate, by the way as well.

Guys, I'm going to do a video about culture shocks.

But one of them is that you will find a beer tap everywhere.

Can you imagine walking into Woody's DIY at home in Ireland?

And there's just a beer tap?

I've committed myself to spring cleaning my house all this week, so I'm glad I got all these things.

As I was walking out, I noticed how beautiful the mountains were.

I had to take a video If I ever left Tenerife, I know I'd miss the mountains If you don't know the story by now How my name is Mia.

I moved from Ireland to Tenerife to start a new life four years ago.

I want to start committing to making more tiktoks.

But that means bringing you along a normal day in our lives and not just a fun thing.

So here we go.

This is just a typical day in our life at the moment me and Levi are off for a summer together.

And guys, when I tell you it's getting hot in Tenerife, it is so freaking hot.

We went for a morning walk this morning where Mindy, a friend's dog.

And on our way home we saw these two guys pull this electric scooter out of the ocean.

I have so many questions I have been promising Levi some Star Wars Lego for pretty much all summer.

So we hit up two toy stores today, one in Los Christian, and then we headed to SM Mall, which I hate going to this toy store because it's so overly priced.

But anyway, we secure the Lego.

I stopped at market Donna on the way home, got some groceries and if you can see there, I dropped my yoghurt on the way up from the car.

We spent the rest of the day making Lego, then stopped off in the park for an hour and watched the most beautiful sunset.

And after we got home, I just sat down and did some freelance work and, of course, adjusted the Vision board because there's been some amazing life updates recently
