The most 'staged' moments from this year's MAFS UK homestays - according to fans
Married At First Sight UK fans have questioned some of the scenes from this year's homestays, saying they think some moments were 'staged' by producers. The latest series of the hit reality show is well underway on E4, with the couples having now met one another's families and stayed at each other's houses.
In a recent episode, Lacey and Nathan's homestay was shown, with Nathan heading to his wife's family home. He and Lacey were joined by her mum and sister, but the scenes appeared to be slightly awkward and scripted. MAFS fans pointed out several different moments during the episode that looked to be staged, with many taking to social media to share their opinions.
"I really, really like Lacey, but I’m cringing so hard at this homestay. Feels SO rehearsed and that the family are desperate to be on telly #mafsuk," one person wrote, while a second added: "Lacey's homestay is too staged."

The first moment that really caught the fans' attention was when Lacey and Nathan were relaxing in bed together. It was supposed to show them after waking up, but fans noticed Lacey had a full face of make-up on while Nathan had his hair perfectly styled.
Then, Lacey's mum and sister Paige suddenly entered the room to join the couple. Paige also had her make-up perfectly applied like her sister, while her entrance appeared to be planned.
There was then another moment where Lacey, her mum and sister all stood around casually drinking tea in the doorway. Taking to X, one person said: “The staged tea sip,” with a row of laughing emojis.
Later on, Lacey's mum suddenly needed some DIY completing and called upon Nathan to help her. An awkward scene then occurred, which showed Lacey's mum getting handsy with the groom tickling him, massaging his shoulders, and peppering him with compliments while he worked.
Many viewers pointed out how 'uncomfortable' the scene was to watch. "I feel like I shouldn't be watching this," remarked a viewer, clearly taken aback by the scenes unfolding on the show. The same sentiment was shared by another fan who commented: "This mother in law is a bit full-on...making me cringe."
Meanwhile, another fan added, "What have I just watched at Lacey's house?" And another fan contributed, "That was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable with Lacey's mum."
Married At First Sight UK continues on Monday night at 9pm on E4.
