All the most jaw dropping beauty looks of the 2023 Met Gala

The 2023 Met Gala came round so fast we got whiplash, but we're not complaining about a whole new carpet full of looks to pour over, debate, dissect and, if we're brave, recreate. Here we've rounded up all of our favourite hair and makeup looks from the night, the tireless work of the best glam squads in the biz.

There's buzz cuts, dye jobs, wigs, and then there's Doja Cat.

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney was born for Barbiecore, and this XXL blonde blowout with peaches and cream complexion were fulfilling all our Barbie dreams even before the addition of that giant bow.

Cardi B

And speaking of Barbie. Cardi B looked like a living doll in this picture perfect grey beehive. Her eye makeup further exaggerated her wide-eyed doll expression and that blush was *chefs kiss*. If you want to see the full Barbie extent you need to see the full fit.

Viola Davis

Viola brought all that glorious texture to the carpet, wearing her coils stretched and blown out into a perfectly round afro with a healthy dose of peachy blush.

Cara Delevinge

With just a touch of green, Cara Delevingne's shaggy grey crop was a feathery, ethereal masterpiece. Left dark, her brows framed her smoked silvery eye look, completed with a mauve nude lip.

Doja Cat

An iconic tribute to Karl Lagerfeld's cat Choupette (who announced to heartbroken fans that she wouldn't be attending via Instagram). We've come to expect out-there creative looks from Doja, given her last couple of rounds at fashion week, but this cat prosthetic and winged eye combo was truly spectacular.

Yes she's wearing lashes on her sunglasses, and though it does remind us of when all the gworls put lashes on their car headlights, it's undeniably iconic.

Amanda Seyfried

Hair so big it is most definitely full of secrets, Amanda's big vintage curls and red lip was serving Old Hollywood.

Olivia Rodrigo

Audrey Hepburn is that you? Olivia Rodrigo looked exquisite channelling the all time icon with a simple bun and new vintage micro fringe. And naturally she matched it with the sweeping corner lash look that's named after Audrey herself.

Yara Shadidi

We rarely see Yara with straight hair (apart from her iconic Aaliyah costume on Grown-ish), and while we adore her curls always, we're obsessed with how different she looks with these long sultry brown waves. Combined with the dark wing, ultra-chiseled cheek bones, chestnut liner and those talons... I just don't know where to look. Grown indeed.

Quinta Brunson

The edges, the feathers, the woven disc of braid; the longer I look, the more I see, and it's all made to look so effortless. When I don't even want to think about the time that went into this masterpiece. The look was worn with a lilac eye to match the sweet hue of her gown.
