This Morning's Sian Welby on becoming a mum in a matter of weeks - 'I'm so lucky'
Sian Welby has shared how she feels ahead of becoming a mum in a matter of weeks, telling her This Morning co-stars "I've been very lucky".
The Capital FM host is a regular showbiz reporter for This Morning and even stood in as one of the ITV show's main presenters earlier this year before they signed up Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
So when Sian, 37, stopped in to the daytime show to give her showbiz round-up on Thursday, Cat and Ben couldn't wait to hear how their friend was getting on in the late stages of her pregnancy. Looking stylish in a stretchy black dress and black leather jacket, Sian smiled as Cat told her: "Can I start off by saying, you look fab!" and Ben asked: "How's it going?"
Sian, who is in the final couple of months of her pregnancy, admitted: "I feel like all my organs are being crushed. But I can't complain, I've been very lucky, It's been really nice."
Cat joked with her: "You wait till you can't tie your shoelaces!"
As Ben checked in with the presenter on how far along she was, Sian shared: "32 weeks and a bit, which means due in June, couple of months away."
The TV and radio star recently enjoyed a babymoon in Tenerife with her fiancé, radio producer Jake Beckett, where she showed photos of their luxury hotel with a swim-up river to their room.
She also posted a photo of Jake with a large wine glass on holiday, writing: "Not drinking on this holiday is so much harder than I expected."
Her holiday snaps included photos of all the maternity fashion she had worn and she told her fans: "Right, preggos, I’ve put together all the outfits I took on holiday. I can personally vouch that all were really comfy and didn’t dig into the bump!"
Sian announced her pregnancy in February on air on Capital FM, telling her co-presenters and listeners: "I’ve got a bit of an announcement for you! I’m pregnant! I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it from you for so long. The lies, the deceit, the mocktails! I couldn’t wait to tell you. This is a whole new journey for me and I want to take you all on it with me, and don't worry I'm not going anywhere! This is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share it with you all."
