Alison Hammond is reportedly doing well for herself as she takes to the stage in Birmingham Hippodrome's pantomime production of Peter Pan for the second year in a row. Alison is portraying the show's Magical Mermaid, and is said to have 'topped the celebrity panto rich list' this year, according to The Sun.

From stars such as Kerry Katona and Katie Price to Vernon Kay and Alison, a number of stars spend their Christmas periods entertaining on the stage. And a new report from The Sun alleges that Alison is making an impressive £195,000 for her 65 show stint.

While Vernon, who is appearing in Aladdin at Wycome's Swan Theatre, is allegedly close behind with £190,000 of earnings. Scott Mills is said to be earning the same amount for his role of Mayor Mills in Jack and The Beanstalk at Swansea Grand Theatre.

"Panto may be all fun and games for audiences but behind the scenes it’s dog eat dog," a source told the publication, adding: "Agents are notoriously particular about where their client’s name is on the poster and how big the font is as it reflects the earnings. Industry wide it’s known if you’re in the top left you are the highest paid star."

Alongside pantomime, Alison is busy with her This Morning presenting gig and raising her son, Aiden. She is also in a new relationship with boyfriend David Putman, going public with the relationship earlier this year.

She recently opened up about her relationship for the first time in the Good Housekeeping UK January edition Alison said: “I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference. But honestly, when we see the word ‘toyboy’ written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all.

“Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: ‘We get it now.’ He’s so mature and sensible, and I’m so not. And the things he says to me...they’re just so lovely. It’s like a jigsaw; we fit and it all comes together.”

Alison and David, a Russian masseuse, who is 22 years her junior, have shared a few Instagram posts together. However until now, Alison hadn't publicly addressed her new relationship. David wasn’t the only person Alison opened up about. She also mentioned her 19 year old son, Aidan. Alison explained: “If you could feel the way my son loves me, it’s magical. He’s grown into such a gentleman. He helps me so much, doing things around the house. He gives really good advice and because he’s Gen Z, he has his finger on the pulse and tells me what’s cool.

“He’s the yin to my yang; he’s like me, but a calmer version. I’m all, ‘Woo-hoo’ and he’s more, "Mum, chill." He doesn’t try to rein me in, though. He wouldn’t try to change me because, well, why mess with perfection?”
