This Morning viewers call for major change minutes into ITV show

This Morning was thrown into chaos as the latest Spin To Win segment didn't go to plan.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley made a return to our TV screens as they presented the day's top stories during Wednesday’s (January 8) episode of the ITV show,

However, just minutes into the competition things didn’t seem to go to plan as they struggled to find a winner. The duo rang six lucky viewers but no one managed to answer the phone with the correct password and some didn’t pick up at all.

Diving straight into the segment, Cat started off by saying: “We’ve got lots of different cash prizes up for grabs from £250 to a jackpot of £1,000.”

Ben warned viewers who have entered the competition: “Keep your phone close we could be calling you in just a moment and it’s really important that you answer your phone with today’s pass phrase and turn the telly down because it always helps.”

Things were not off to a great start as first caller Robert failed to answer the phone. Caller number two missed out on the money as he didn’t answer the phone with the correct phrase.

The pair decided to give the callers one more chance and Ben told viewers: “When we dial, you’ve got to use the phrase. If your phone is ringing now it’s us, it’s me and Deeley.” Cat joked: “I think I’m losing my mind.”

Despite the warning, they didn’t manage to get through to anyone and were forced to move on with the rest of the show.

Ben said: “No one picked up today so this means we are going to spin and whatever it lands on now we are going to add to tomorrow's prize.” After spinning the win, it was revealed that £750 will be added to the jackpot for Thursday’s show.

Viewers watching at home wasted no time sharing their reaction to the moment on X, Formally known as Twitter. One viewer wrote: “Baffles me the amount of people that enters Spin To Win but can’t answer the phone or answer the phone in the correct way! If your going to enter at least be ready for them to phone they literally do it between the hours of 10-12:30 every day #ThisMorning.”

Another fan fumed: “Spin to Win needs to be cancelled. The prizes are dire and it is def not good viewing.” A third added: “Why do these people bother entering Spin To Wins.”
