This Morning star Trevor Sorbie's tragic final TV appearance where he warned he 'may not make Christmas'
Celebrity hairdresser and This Morning star Trevor Sorbie has died after being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer, which spread to his liver. The 75-year-old had appeared on ITV's This Morning just one month ago, on October 9, alongside his wife Carole to announce the sad news to viewers.
Hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were visibly moved by Trevor's story, as he sat with his wife and detailed how his nightmare had begun when he "lost a lot of blood" and went to the doctor. He told viewers: "I lost a lot of blood one night and was unusually disturbed so went to hospital. They told me I had bowel cancer and I had a little panic attack. I looked at Carole [his wife] and she looked at me, we were both speechless, didn’t know what to say. So I went and had a big gin and tonic."
Carole emotionally continued: "It then spread to his liver and he had a six and a half hour operation, he came back and he had another six and a half hour operation." On Friday, November 8, Trevor's death was announced via social media. A statement said: " “It is with heartfelt emotion that we share the passing of our esteemed founder, Trevor Sorbie.

“Trevor passed away peacefully with his family and beloved dog by his side. Trevor’s journey, marked by unparalleled creativity and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the world of hairdressing and beyond. From pioneering The Wedge five decades ago to establishing our first salon in 1979, Trevor’s vision set new standards and continues to inspire generations. As we commemorate 45 years of Trevor Sorbie salons, we remain steadfast in upholding the passion, artistry, and dedication that he embodied. Trevor often reminded us to ‘be bold, be different, but always do everything in good taste’." It continued: “His ethos of kindness, care, and excellence continues to guide us. He expressed immense pride in our team and confidence in our commitment to carrying forward his legacy.”
Just days ago the star gave a raw interview to The Times where he talked about refusing further chemotherapy treatment which might have given him "another month" to live. He said: "When I asked a nurse if I'd still be here at Christmas, she said, 'We don't know, Trevor'." And that annoyed me. I've got cancer in my body, but not in here. My brain is my engine and I'll go when I'm ready." He told the publication he intends to die at home and doesn't want a funeral.
Trevor explained: "[They are] too upsetting. When the time comes, my ashes will be interred with [his wife] Carole's and our little dog. But I'm going to defy medical science," he added. "If the cancer reaches my brain, then I'll accept it, but until then, I'm in charge, and I'm going on my terms."
Trevor, who has styled the hair of world-famous people such as the late Queen Elizabeth II and Helen Mirren, said he had not slept in three days partly due to steroids which cause "mad insomnia" while reducing inflammation.
Carole was the person who called for an ambulance in 2019 when Trevor began bleeding heavily. After being diagnosed later down the line, a surgeon removed a tumour from his bowel, and he was informed there was a five per cent chance of it returning - but unfortunately, it did.
When the stylist first spoke out about his diagnosis, he said: "I lost a lot of blood one night and was unusually disturbed, so I went to the hospital.
