Monica Vinader's Black Friday sale has caused quite the frenzy in 2021. The jewellery brand has kicked off its discounting event early this year and it's already proven so popular, there's now a waiting list to enter the website.

It's worth the wait. The label has added to its customary 25 per cent discount this year: baskets totalling £150 or more will have 30 per cent knocked off the price, and you can expect daily deals of up to 50 per cent off new-season pieces.

Monica Vinader's Black Friday Flash sale:

Everyday this week Monica Vinader is dropping flash discounts of up to 50% off. Today the new Disco collection is included, but you'll need to hurry if you spot something – it lasts for 24 hours only.

If flash sales are a red flag where sustainability is concerned, you'll be pleased to hear Monica Vinader is working hard on its eco-credentials at the moment. The jewellery brand now only uses 100 per cent recycled gold vermeil and sterling silver and all diamonds are ethically mined. At the end of this year, this savvy switch will have saved 2,275,623 kg GHG in emissions. What's more, the brand further offsets any emissions generated from production and shipping in order to maintain full carbon neutrality.

If you fancy a treat but don't want to succumb to Black Friday's materialistic pull, shop wisely this November. Opt for investment jewellery that'll work hard in your wardrobe and go the distance seasonally – we're talking simple chain necklaces or a staple pair of hoops.

Does Monica Vinader take part in Black Friday?

Most certainly: Monica Vinader has taken part in Black Friday for the last four years in a row.

When is Monica Vinader's Black Friday sale?

Black Friday always falls on the fourth weekend of November, after Thanksgiving in the US. That's the 26th this year, although Monica Vinader has kicked things off a week early for 2021.

Does Monica Vinader take part in Cyber Monday?

Monica Vinader's Black Friday sale will simple extend through the weekend to Cyber Monday in 2021.

What is the situation with Monica Vinader's Black Friday shipping?

One thing you can do to reduce impact on the environment during the sales period, is keep deliveries to a minimum. Be clear about what you're going to buy from the very beginning in order to generate just one delivery.

Monica Vinader's not just generous with its discounts: 'no hurry' delivery is free for everyone with no minimum spend. What's more, the brand is totally carbon neutral – the brand offsets the emissions created from the manufacturing process right through to shipping.

What was in the Monica Vinader sale last year?

Last year, like in 2021, absolutely everything on site and in-store was in the Monica Vinader Black Friday sale. However, the deals weren't as generous: it was 30 per cent off baskets totalling £200, not £150, and the flash deal offering was more similar to a clearance sale.

What is Black Friday?

So, what exactly is Black Friday? Well, it's fairly new to the UK. The annual sale originated in America and only travelled across the pond in 2010. It's grown in popularity ever since, with both luxury and high-street brands now taking part. In fact, if 2020 is anything to go by, Black Friday has overtaken Boxing Day as the biggest retail event of the year.

It does make sense, since a pre-Christmas sale is far more helpful to consumers. It's ideal for party-dress shopping and gifting (no one wants to see their thoughtful gift slapped with a red clearance sticker a mere day after they've gifted it).
