Molly-Mae Hague's newborn daughter's nappy changes have been "traumatic" for her.

The 23-year-old reality star and her 'Love Island' co-star Tommy Fury - who have been together since they met on the ITV2 dating show in 2019 - welcomed their first child together, baby daughter Bambi, on January 23, and the new mom has opened up about the challenges of being a first-time mum.

She told her Instagram followers: “My teeny tiny girl.

“Sometimes nappy changes are that traumatic for her that we don’t make it to the reclothing stage, so we just snuggle up in blankets and cuddle until she’s calm again.”

The blonde beauty is planning to film her birth story to share with the world but admitted it's nerve-wracking.

She added: “I really want to film my birth story today, but I'm so nervous to get back in front of the camera…I'm not sure if my brain is working yet and if I try to do it and fail then I know that will really upset/frustrate me.

“I really want to catch you all up! Dilemmas.”

Bambi's name was confirmed with a picture of the little bundle lying next to a plush of the Disney character that inspired her moniker underneath a light that spelled out her name.

Molly-Mae captioned the post: "Bambi [white heart emoji]."

Towards the end of last year, Molly-Mae explained that she had chosen the name when she was a child herself and teased that the name was "really unusual" and "different" and insisted that she knew nobody else with that name.

She said: "Yes, we do have a baby girl name picked out, I've had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It's always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I've always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too. It's a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I've not seen any other girls with the name before, it's that different."

The PrettyLittleThing creative director gushed that becoming a mum had been "one of the best things" that had happened to her as she promised to love the new born unconditionally.

She said: "One week old today. I can't believe we get to keep you forever. Becoming your mum has been one of the best things to ever happen to me... it doesn't seem possible but my love for you grows with each passing moment. There is no feeling like holding you in my arms little one, my heart literally explodes. Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents. We promise to love and care for you unconditionally forever."
