Molly-Mae Hague 'misses' PLT founder Umar Kamani's luxurious wedding after quitting creative director role
Molly-Mae Hague was noticeably absent from the wedding of PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani and model Nada Adelle. The ceremony took place in the South of France on Saturday (4 May) and saw numerous stars in attendance.
Among the star-studded guest list was former England footballer Rio Ferdinand, his wife Kate, boxing legend Anthony Joshua and Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Stephen Bartlett, but Molly-Mae, who previously worked as the fast fashion retailer's Creative Director was not in attendance at the 'lavish' event.
It's unclear why Molly, and her fiance Tommy Fury, were not in attendance at the event, but it comes less than a year after she stepped down from her role as the brand's Creative Director in order to spend time with her baby daughter Bambi.
Molly-Mae stepped down from the role last year, after being appointed in August 2021 with a reported salary of £400,000 a month. At the time she said there was "absolutely no drama" and that nothing bad had happened behind the scenes.
OK! have contacted representatives for Molly-Mae Hague.
Other stars who have worked with the brand were seen at the wedding, including supermodel Naomi Campbell, who launched a controversial collaboration with the brand last year.
When stepping down from her Creative Director position last year, former Love Island star Molly-Mae shared a video explaining her decision. In which, she said: "Basically a lot of people have been asking me about PLT creative director and how's the role going.
"Everything's going incredibly with PLT, I literally have the most insane relationship with PLT they're literally my family. Still working with them, still doing collections, still doing edits, but I've actually decided to step down from my creative director role."
Admitting that she realised she'd announced such a huge life change suddenly at the end of her video, Molly-Mae went on to say that she's been reevaluating everything in her life ever since Bambi was born earlier this year.
"I've realised that I'm only going to get this time once with my firstborn child," the star shared honestly. "I'm only going to get Bambi being four months old once. I just feel like I have had to just rearrange my life a little bit and lose some commitments I did have."
She continued: "Myself and PLT we've decided collectively that the creative director role, as much as it was incredible, and I've literally loved being the creative director more than anything, it was such an amazing chapter for me.
"It's just naturally come to an end. I'm a mum now, I never really gave myself a maternity leave, I got straight back into work instantly. Because my work is my phone, and showing my life is my work.
"There were certain areas of my life I had to reevaluate. The last thing I wanted to be was in a role I can't fulfil right now at this moment in my life."
