“After spending over a month looking for an apartment to rent, we finally found our dream home on one of the most popular websites in Spain, Idealista,” begins interior designer and digital artist, Lukasz Staniewski, who’s the founder of Nova Studio. Originally from Poland, he’s been living in Barcelona for over three years and in this apartment for six months.

Lukasz shares his home with partner, Jamal Musa, a makeup artist in the fashion industry originally from Germany. What caught the couple’s attention with this apartment was that it had a recently renovated interior, “featuring a beautiful color palette, a unique terrazzo floor, and a spacious living area.”

“When we visited the apartment for the first time, we were sure it was exactly what we were looking for. Finding a flat in Barcelona right now, as in other big cities, is really challenging. It’s almost impossible to find a place in good condition at a reasonable price,” he continues.

Lukasz says the apartment simply had everything they were looking for in a home: “It was renovated with great taste; equipped with a large kitchen, a terrace, and two bedrooms; and had plenty of natural light and air conditioning.”

The Barcelona-based architecture studio CRÜ did the renovation, and they write that they designed the apartment “with the aim to preserve the original aesthetic of the building by using noble materials, like terrazzo and marble, which, when combined with contemporary decoration, creates an eclectic and warm atmosphere,”
