Missing Gossip Girl star update released after star went missing two weeks ago
Gossip Girl actress Chanel Maya Banks has reportedly been found "uninjured" following a desperate search by her worried family. The actress, 36, mysteriously vanished in Los Angeles two weeks ago and her family claimed her husband wasn't cooperating with police.
The Blue Bloods and Gossip Girl actress was last heard from exactly two weeks ago today, on Wednesday, October 30, when she texted her cousin, Danielle-Tori Singh, who later contacted police and launched a search operation. Danielle, along with Chanel's mum Judy Singh flew to LA from Canada and New York to try and locate their missing loved one, and set up a GoFundMe page to help fund the search.
According to the American news website TMZ, police have confirmed that Chanel has been found safe and sound. "Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Chanel has now been found safe and sound. She doesn't have any injuries and foul play isn't suspected," the site said.

The actress, who starred alongside Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in the American teen drama, had been living in LA with her husband of around a year before her family said she stopped contacting them. After they contacted the authorities, police reportedly performed a welfare check at Chanel's home, but found no trace of the star.
Her cousin Danielle spearheaded a campaign to find her, which included putting up flyers. According to the family, Chanel's husband was uncooperative with the search. "He's not willing to help LAPD," Danielle claimed. "He's not wiling to help me or her mom find her. He is removing flyers off of posts and cars."
Speaking to ABC7 News before the latest update, Chanel's cousin Danielle said: "Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells. She doesn't go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom...That girl is more like a big sister to me."
Danielle also set up a GoFundMe page to help with the search - called FIND CHANEL BANKS - which has raised close to $4,000 so far. In the page description, Danielle wrote: "On November 10 my aunt and I were able to get into the apartment and all of her belongings are still there. The only items we did not locate are her phone and laptop.
"She also does not go anywhere without her little dog, which also has been left behind. She also does not have her vehicle because it’s parked in her garage. She would NEVER go anywhere without telling her mom or myself."
