Milton YMCA to host Parents Night Out

May 11—MILTON — The Milton YMCA will host a parent's day out on June 8 so that parents can drop their children off at the facility and go enjoy the day.

"Parents Night Out is an opportunity for parents to have a few hours of worry free, stress free time away from the kids," branch Executive Director Ron Marshall said. "Drop them off and they will have a blast at our YMCA as we will be offering crafts, games, Esports and swimming.

The event begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m., at a cost of $20 per child for members and $25 for non-members, according to Milton YMCA membership director Kellie Bates.

Marshall said the YMCA will also provide meals to the children.

"Parents won't need to worry about dinner after they pick their child up from this event," he said. "Under the supervision of our YMCA staff and volunteers, paretns will get the four hours to have a day date, relax, or anything else you choose to do without any interruption."

Marshall said all proceeds from the event will go to the YMCA financial assistance program.

"The Milton YMCA offers need-based assistance to help individuals and families access the programs and membership opportunities that are important to them," he said.

"These scholarships are made possible by generous donors and partners who are committed to providing resources that increase access so more people can come together for the common good and enjoy everything we have to offer at the Milton YMCA."
