Millie Bobby Brown welcomes newest addition to the family amid upcoming wedding
Millie Bobby Brown has introduced the newest member of her family - a tiny puppy named Ruth.
The 20 year old Stranger Things star posted a snap of the adorable pup to her Instagram Stories, as she appeared to suggest she had adopted the little one, with a link to an adoption centre.
Over the top of the snap, Millie wrote: "Meet our newest pup... Ruth" as she added some hearts.
The actress is a big lover of animals, and she currently has twenty of them, which include now-ten dogs, four cats, one donkey, one pony, three goats, one sheep and one rabbit. She also used to have two tortoises but they've now been donated to a classroom.
Millie shares her home and animals with her fiancé Jake Bongiovi. She and Jake, 21, who is the son of legendary rocker, Jon Bon Jovi, got engaged in April 2023.
Announcing their engagement Millie posted a very artistic black and white shot of her and her boyfriend whilst wearing a huge ring on her engagement finger, whilst Jake wrapped his arms around her.
She captioned the image: “I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all.”
Jake also appeared to confirm their engagement, as he shared a series of images of them from the same day, writing: “Forever.”
In March of this year, Millie celebrated her three year anniversary with Jake, as she shared a sweet snap of the pair as Jake playfully attempted to bite her cheek. She wrote: "Three years of bliss, love you best friend."
Their anniversary milestone comes after Millie's co-star Matthew Modine said that he will officiate their wedding.
Matthew plays Dr Martin Brenner, the "Papa" of Brown's character Eleven in the Netflix sci-fi series. He told Access Daily he had already written the wedding vows, adding: "I have one of those licences to get people married, and Millie thought it'd be great, and then Jake said it would be a great idea," Modine said.
He said that the couple "loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife". The 65-year-old said he had only officiated one wedding ceremony before, but it was "such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony".
While the couple have been tight lipped about a date for their wedding ceremony, the actress has since revealed how Jake popped the question. She told Jimmy Fallon on his show in February 2024, that he proposed to her while they were diving in the ocean together.
She said: "He gives me like a shell and I like, turn it over and it’s a ring." Millie added: "Anyway, he puts the ring on my hand and as I go to show him the ring falls off my finger, plummets like, so fast, it was like a cinematic movie...
"Jake threw himself, like so deep, like the diver was like, ‘You can’t do that, like your ears … literally your brain will explode.’”
Thankfully, Jake managed to retrieve the ring.
