Milla Jovovich has shared a sweet snapshot of her breastfeeding her baby daughter, describing the moment as her “favourite time of the day.”
The 44-year-old actress gave birth to baby, Osian, on February 2 and has been sharing her new parent journey every since.
Jovovich has been keeping fans posted about Osian’s growth as she self-isolates with husband Paul W.S. Anderson and their two elder daughters, 12-year-old, Ever and 5-year-old, Dashiel.
And on Monday, the Resident Evil star gave her 3.4 million followers a peak into the special bonding moments she’s been sharing with her 13-week-old.
Posting a selfie she snapped while breastfeeding, the actress opened up about the special time.
“So grateful for these quiet moments with my rainbow baby.” she wrote in the accompanying caption.
“Nursing her are some of my favourite times of the day,” she continued.
“I treasure this period of our lives so much. Such a short blip in my life, but one that will bring the sweetest memories when I’m looking back.”
Jovovich announced that she was pregnant with her third child in August last year.
The actress revealed the baby news on Instagram and at the same time opened up about the reality of being an older mum-to-be.
The ‘Resident Evil’ star shared a sweet image showcasing her growing baby bump while also revealing the mixture of emotions she felt after discovering she was pregnant in her 40s, just two years after undergoing an emergency abortion.
“After I found out I was pregnant 13 weeks ago, I had a mixture of feelings ranging between complete joy and utter terror,” she wrote.
“Because of my age and losing the last pregnancy I didn't want to get attached to this potential baby too quickly.”
Following Osian’s birth, Jovovich revealed that the newborn had a “bad case of jaundice,” sharing on Instagram that she “had to supplement with expressed breast milk” as a result of the diagnosis.
Last year, the actress revealed that she had to have an ‘emergency abortion’ and that it was “one of the most horrific experiences” she has ever gone through.
“I myself went through an emergency abortion 2 years ago,” she wrote. “I was 4 1/2 months pregnant and shooting on location in Eastern Europe.
“I went into pre term labour and told that I had to be awake for the whole procedure. It was one of the most horrific experiences I have ever gone through. I still have nightmares about it. I was alone and helpless,” she added.
