Mike Tindall shares his sweet nickname for wife Zara
Former rugby star Mike Tindall revealed his sweet nickname for wife Zara on an episode of the House of Rugby podcast this week.
Mike let the nickname slip as he explained a situation many parents have come across while working from home during lockdown.
"Sorry, Lena's just on fire at the moment, she's never quiet," Mike explained to host Alex Payne, as he was interrupted by his daughter Lena walking into the room while he was recording.
Mike continued: "I did just send Zed a message going "Sssh please", so she's obviously moving them somewhere."
Mike and Zara are parents to six-year-old Mia and one-year-old Lena. Like many parents, Mike and Zara have been homeschooling their daughter Mia while schools closed during the UK lockdown.
Mike recently opening up about the struggles of homeschooling in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.
He said: "I don’t think any child is a great homeschooler because they definitely listen to other people better than they listen to their parents.
"[Mia] can be brilliant one minute and then something you’ve seen her do a thousand times she’ll just go ‘I don’t know how to do that’ and then you go ‘well I know you do’, and she’ll just say ‘no I don’t’ and then you get frustrated, and you’re trying not to get frustrated."
He added: "She enjoyed it the first week because it was different being around Mum and Dad all the time... But then, ultimately, it’s the same people who are telling her off or telling her what to do and I think then she gets bored of that."
