Michelle Yeoh relies on this fan-favorite pencil from Anastasia Beverly Hills for camera-ready brows

You may have heard it before, but eyebrows really are frames for your face. Strong, neat brows help your eyes pop and contribute to a more youthful look. As we age, our brows start to thin, but there are plenty of brow gels, pencils and other products to make them appear big and full again. Oscar-winning actress and Medal of Freedom recipient Michelle Yeoh has shared her beauty routine in a video for Vogue, revealing her secret for good brows at 61: the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil.

This beauty-bag staple has a fine tip that manages to create natural, hair-like lines, fans say.

Yeoh shared that she learned a lot of skin-care and beauty techniques from her mom, whom she calls "a very good makeup artist." Her mom always told her to take care of her brows. "I'm quite blessed with very natural [eyebrows]," she said. "I try not to overpluck them. I just leave it the way it is."

At night, she uses an eyebrow serum to encourage growth, and during the daytime, she uses the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow pencil to make what she has a bit fuller-looking.

The pencil has two sides — a very thin, retractable pencil on one side and a spoolie on the other. Yeoh first brushes up her brows with the spoolie, then uses the pencil to gently add color. "I just fill in all the blanks, but not too much," she said. It comes in 12 shades, so chances are high that you can find a next-to-seamless match for your brow color.

More than 19,000 Amazon shoppers share Yeoh's love of this brow pencil, giving it a five-star rating. They love how natural it looks and say it stays put all day.

"I have barely any eyebrows and what I have is light ash blonde," said one happy customer. "I have tried so many brow pencils and they look like penciled lines, which are totally aging. I used this, and I seriously cannot tell they are not my own brows. I am so so happy."

"My brows are sparse on the outer half and are a difficult ashy color to match," said another buyer. "Black or any shade of brown doesn't work. I have searched high and low, all products out there, and this one is the best match I've found. The pencil is easy to use and stays well as opposed to a powder option. It is also easily blendable. I fill in my brows and then lightly sweep them with a Q-tip for a very nice and natural look."

"I've been using the Anastasia Brow pencil for years," said a third loyal fan. "The thin pencil side makes it easy to shape and fill in your brows while the spoolie side blends it in for a natural look. I don’t know what I would do without it!"

Of course, some shoppers mention the price tag, but most say it's worth it.

"I'm almost 60 and my eyebrows have become sparse in the last few years," one of them wrote. "They were not real thick to begin with. I've tried a lot of products and this one is by far my favorite. It's expensive for a brow pencil, but you can create a natural look and that's worth it for me."

"I have purchased many eyebrow pencils over the years and this one is a great combination of pencil width, blendability and color," said a fan. "The shade matches very nicely with dark blonde brows and doesn’t make me look like Groucho Marx."

While Yeoh didn't reveal the exact brow growth serum she applies overnight, more than 5,000 Amazon shoppers say Terez & Honor Enhancing Eyelash and Eyebrow Serum is a solid pick.

This popular eyelash and brow enhancer contains biotin and claims to thicken lashes and brows with consistent use in four to six weeks.

"I don't need an eyebrow pencil anymore," said one shopper after a few weeks of use. "I'm one very pleased 68-year-old lady. I highly recommend this product."
