Michella Obama has now finally finished her 'Becoming' world book tour. Unfortunately, that means no more ensembles like this (at least, for the foreseeable future):

And memes like this:

The former First Lady has been travelling around the world, including the UK, to promote her memoir, largely opting for the colour wheel tailoring trend we predicted would be huge this year.

Whilst in Copenhagen in April the mother-of-two wore this magnificent, bejewelled, millennial pink suit by Stine Goya.

And last night, for her closing show of the tour, the 55-year-old wore a shiny metallic suit by Christopher John Rogers.

While the suits are magnificent, it's what is under one of them that truly piqued our interest. Yep, that's right, we can both see a black sequinned bustier.

In Atlanta, Georgia for her penultimate show, Obama wore a purple silk suit from Sergio Hudson’s Fall 2019 collection, with the jazzy corsetry custom made by her long time tailor Christy Rilling.

Rilling wrote on their Instagram, 'It’s always our pleasure & honour to make custom pieces for the INCREDIBLE Michelle Obama'.

Obama wrote in her history-making book all about the sartorial choices she made whilst her husband, Barack Obama, was in office.

'It was a thin line to walk. I was supposed to stand out without overshadowing others, to blend in but not fade away,' she wrote: 'As a black woman, too, I knew I’d be criticised if I was perceived as being showy and high-end, and I’d also be criticised if I was too casual...So I mixed it up. I’d match a Michael Kors skirt with a T-shirt from Gap. I wore something from Target one day and Diane von Furstenberg the next.'
