From Good Housekeeping

After the success of her best-selling memoir Becoming, Michelle Obama is touring the world to meet her fans and discuss topics she wrote about in the book from finding her voice to her time in the White House.

Michelle, Good Housekeeping’s cover star for January 2019, will travel the globe visiting various US states as well as Scandinavia and France to impart some of her hard-earned wisdom on the book tour entitled ‘Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama’.

And the best bit? She’s coming to the UK!

The tour will visit London’s O2 Arena on Sunday 14 April 2019, it’s been announced.

Speaking about the tour, the former First Lady said:

"I couldn't be more excited to visit even more cities across the country and around the world. I've been so humbled by the response to the tour thus far and the overwhelming interest we’ve received from so many communities we weren’t able to visit this year.

“That’s why I’m thrilled that we’re able to expand our conversations to these new settings and wider audiences. I can’t wait to continue the discussions that have been so meaningful for me and, I hope, for so many others.”

If you fancy going along to hear Michelle’s pearls of wisdom (and let’s face it, who wouldn’t?) you can get tickets from Friday 14 December at 1pm.

Earlier this month, we revealed Michelle as our January 2019 cover star and the women’s rights activist shared the advice she’d give to her fellow equality campaigner and new royal the Duchess of Sussex.

“My biggest piece of advice would be to take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything. I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start at school and making new friends before I launched into any more ambitious work. I think it’s okay – it’s good, even – to do that,” she said.

“What I’d say is that there’s so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that – and I think Meghan can maximise her impact for others, as well her own happiness, if she’s doing something that resonates with her personally,” she added.
