Miami Grand Prix winner Lando Norris' life at 24 - model love, £80m contract and £20m mansion

Congratulations are in order for Lando Norris who secured the first win of his Formula One career while at the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, 5 May. In what was his 110th F1 race, the 24 year old beat world champion Max Verstappen.

As he celebrated his first win, it’s clear that Lando had been waiting a while for this moment to come to fruition. “About time! What a race. It's been a long time coming,” he said. “Finally I've managed to do it.”

So, as the F1 driver celebrates his victory, let’s take a peek at his life away from the Paddock…

Born in Bristol, Lando is the son of stock market trader Adam Norris who came in at number 18 on the 2016 Bristol Rich List after amassing a personal fortune of £205 million.

The motor racer has two younger sisters, and an older brother and it’s clear that his family have been cheering him on from the sidelines. Following his recent win, his doting dad spoke to Sky Sports about his son’s victory.

“It's beautiful, it's beautiful. But I think the other dads... I've just had Lewis' dad give me a text and we've been through a lot. And it's interesting knowing as a parent how many hours you put in supporting them,” he said.

Despite becoming Fernando Alonso’s teammate at the Daytona 24 Hours sports car race in 2018 when he was just 18 years old and racing in his first F1 event a year later, racing wasn’t the star’s first love.

“I started on horse riding, so I started on four legs. But then I moved to quad biking. I was a big fan. Then I really got into motocross,” he told British GQ in 2022.

But since discovering his talent in racing, Lando’s career has gone from strength to strength and in 2022 he committed to a four-year agreement with McLaren. The four-year contract is reportedly estimated to be worth £80 million, according to Bloomberg.

During his time in the spotlight, the racing driver has opened up about the pressures that come with working in Formula One and in 2021 he appeared on the This Morning sofa where he discussed all things mental health.

“I guess people, from when they just watch TV, don't realise many things that a driver goes through,” he explained. “And it's a bit of shame, but there are more programmes now where you get to see what the driver is like behind the scenes, and the amount of pressure and stress that they have to cope with.

“Especially at my age, coming into Formula One at 19, there's a lot of eyes on you. So, dealing with all these kinds of things, took its toll on me.”

Away from the F1 track Lando likes to keep busy and is the founder of “entertainment, athlete, and apparel brand” Quadrant. Co-owned by YouTuber WillNE, the brand sells clothes including hoodies, hats and shorts.

And on the topic of YouTube, the McLaren driver has over one million subscribers on the site where he occasionally shares ‘LandoLOGs’ which provide an insight into his daily life. Meanwhile, a second YouTube channel of his called Lando Norris Plays has racked up 388,000 subscribers and sees him play different video games.

If that wasn't enough, over on TikTok he has two million followers and on Instagram he has over eight million.

Career aside, Lando reportedly has a £20 million mansion in Surrey, according to the Daily Mail. However, in 2021 he revealed that he was moving to Monaco and that he was “excited” to see what the move had in store.

“Say hello to my new home! The place isn't finished yet but I'll be living here in Monaco when I'm not in the factory or at the track next year. I get the keys at the end of next month so will hopefully be moving in soon. Really excited for this next chapter!,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

The F1 star was previously in a relationship with Portuguese model Luisinha Oliveira, though the couple called time on their romance in 2022. Taking to Instagram to announce the sad news, Lando paid tribute to his “amazing and strong” ex-girlfriend.

After time and consideration, Luisa and myself have mutually decided to end our relationship but remain good friends,” he said. “I wish her the world and have so much respect for her and all she does as an amazing and strong woman with nothing but kindness.”

Since then Lando has been linked to actress and model Margarida Corceiro and the pair were seen at the Monte-Carlo Masters final last month.
