This is the incredible moment Metallica invited a 10-year-old superfan to get on stage in front of 60k people. Russell Watson has seen the heavy metal band 10 times with his mum, Anne, 45. The pair bonded over the band's music after the death of Russell's dad, Tim, 57, in February 2021. In August 2024, Anne and Russell visited Chicago, Illinois, US, to watch Metallica put on two shows at Soldier Field Stadium. Midway through the second concert, Russell wanted to move closer to the band, Anne said he could so Russell sprinted to the stage.
