Merit X Completedworks Is The 'Quiet Luxury' Collaboration We've Been Waiting For
Fresh off the heels of a stylish collaboration with Tove, cult 'no make-up make-up' mainstay, Merit Beauty, has now joined forces with the London-born jewellery brand, Completedworks.
The limited-edition jewellery collection – a pleasing duo of sculptural gold studs and pearl-embellished silver earrings – draws inspiration from the silhouette of Merit's Retrospect, the debut flacon that launched to great fanfare earlier this year. But it's more than just their sculptural similarities that make this collab such an artful pairing.

'At Merit, we see fragrance as an accessory—so when thinking about expanding the Retrospect story, we naturally turned to jewellery,' Aila Morin, CMO of Merit, tells ELLE UK. 'Completedworks' expressive, wearable designs make a simple outfit special, much like our fragrance enhances daily routines. This collaboration beautifully merges modern sensibility with classic materials, and we’re thrilled for our community to make these pieces part of their daily lives,' she continued.
The millennial-favourite make-up brand and independent jeweller are something of a match made in heaven. Both female-owned, and with a loyal fan base which includes the likes of Emma Watson and Alexa Chung, they blend modernity with a sense of nostalgia, and bring to life the emotive power behind both our sartorial choices and beauty routines.
'I've always admired how jewellery’s intimate scale invites an immediate, tactile connection, much like beauty does,' Anna Jewsbury, the founder of Completedworks, explains. 'The earrings are a direct response to the fluid shape of the Retrospect bottle, blending structure with organic forms. They feel timeless yet unexpected—subversive in their contrasts,' she noted. The complex notes of Merit's bestselling perfume also nod to the juxtaposition of modern and traditional concepts, sitting somewhere between a skin scent and a more sophisticated or rounded gourmand (traditionally sweet, dessert-like notes).
The allure here is simple. Much like Merit's foolproof cream blush, blendable foundation sticks, and instantly reviving, easy-to-smudge bronzing balms (now an essential for any millennial's make-up bag), here lies the kind of covetable, quiet luxury jewellery pieces we'll want to wear every day for the foreseeable.
The Merit X Completedworks collaboration is available from 5 December to purchase as a set (combined with the Retrospect perfume) or sold separately on meritbeauty.com.
