Melvin Odoom and Carol Vorderman's exchange before I'm A Celeb as he calls to be her 'sixth guy'
Melvin Odoom said Carol Vorderman was very much aware about his crush on her, before making his recent confession on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
Earlier this month, the radio presenter told campmates that he’d like to take Carol, 63, on a date and described her as a "10 out of 10".
The 44-year-old went on to say he had missed his chance at speaking to his crush at The Pride Of Britain Awards last month, as he was too shy.

After N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos advised him to express his feelings on camera, the presenter looked down the lens and asked her out on a date.
Carol has since responded to Melvin's plea on Instagram, however it's not the first time she's acknowledged his crush on her.
Speaking on Kate Thornton's White Wine Question Time podcast before entering the jungle, the DJ recalled writing a rap about Carol on the show Don't Hate The Playaz.
"I decided to write my rap about Carol Vorderman," he shared. "And she's seen it because she reposted it on her page, so she definitely knows."
Gushing further over the former Countdown star, Melvin added: "I've always been a fan of Carol Vorderman. That woman can fly helicopters, she's good with numbers.
"She's an amazing broadcaster, activist. I mean, what's there not to like about the Vorders?"
Kate went on to say that Carol may have room for Melvin as her sixth guy, following her admission about dating multiple men at once.
"I think she's got room for one more," she joked. "Last I read, there was five guys right?
"I reckon she could squeeze in six, but like God, she still needs to rest on a Sunday."
Melvin replied: "I'm happy to work around her schedule."
Carol has candidly admitted that she isn't interested in settling down with one person, following two divorces.
Speaking on Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers podcast, she shared: "I have a system which I've had for 10 years. They're called 'special friends'.
"I spoke a couple of months ago about having 'special friends' and it was like, again, the world had fallen in for some people.
"But actually, what I found was there was an awful lot of women who said 'I'd never thought about it like this'."
She added: "This whole assumption: 'Have you got a partner yet? Have you got a man?' Well, no actually I've got five'."
