Mel B Revives Her Scary Spice Era in Leopard-print Roberto Cavalli Jumpsuit, Talks ‘Brutally Honest’ Book on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’
Mel B made an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” which aired on Thursday. The “Brutally Honest” author opened up about her personal life with the eponymous talk show host, disclosing life-changing events and past relationships.
For her appearance, the former Spice Girls member fashioned a leopard-print sleeveless Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit. The jumpsuit featured a double-strap design with rear criss-cross straps. The look was embellished with gold hardware on the straps and on the bust line of the one-piece. Mel B’s look extended to her footwear, with the leopard print wrapping around her heels.

The look harkened back to Mel B’s Scary Spice days. As a member of the U.K. pop girl group, Mel B often fashioned animal-print looks, most notably leopard prints, for performances. Her fashion choices have since been evocative of her Spice Girls style.
Animal prints have been a signature part of Roberto Cavalli’s designs. On March 7, Zendaya fashioned a sleeveless Roberto Cavalli gown from the spring 2011 collection featuring a crocodile print.
Cavalli’s latest designs in the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection featured a bevy of antique marble designs, courtesy of creative director Fausto Puglisi, who joined the brand in the fall of 2020. “He’s been doing an amazing job,” Sergio Azzolari, who was appointed chief executive officer of Roberto Cavalli last year, said of Puglisi.
Since joining Roberto Cavalli, Puglisi’s main focus has been building the brand’s womenswear collections. Puglisi debuted his first collection for Roberto Cavalli in February 2021, heavily influenced by animal prints featuring an array of spots and stripes. “Everyone is doing animal prints, but it’s iconic Cavalli, so let’s take it back,” Puglisi said ahead of his first launch.
Celebrities have embraced reptilian inspiration and animal prints recently, including Sofía Vergara, who wore a reptilian Laura Basci corset top with sheer paneling to the filming of “America’s Got Talent” Season 19 on Wednesday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles.
