Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just shared the wonderful news that Meghan is pregnant, and they're expecting their second baby. The Valentine's Day announcement - which was poignantly timed - has been met with excitement from royal fans, as we await the arrival of a baby brother or sister for one-year-old Archie.

With the Sussex's pregnancy confirmed, we take a look at Meghan's bump pictures from this time around, and also from her first pregnancy with Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

1) May 2021

Meghan Markle is edging towards the end of her pregnancy with baby number two, and she showed off her blooming bump in a recent video for Global Citizen's Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World. In the video, the Duchess cradled her bump underneath a gorgeous red and pink Carolina Herrera red poppy shirt dress (still available to buy at Farfetch, if you've got a casual £2,200 lying around) as she spoke about gender equality and her unborn daughter. "My husband and I are thrilled to soon be welcoming a daughter. It’s a feeling of joy we share with millions of other families around the world. When we think of her, we think of all the other families around the globe who must be given the ability and support to lead us forward. Their future leadership depends on the decisions we make and the actions we take now to set them up and to set all of us up for a successful, equitable, and compassionate tomorrow," Meghan said.

2) February 2021

Meghan and Harry announced news of their second pregnancy with this photograph, taken remotely in their California home. Now they've opted for a more private life outside the front line of the royal family, we haven't been able to see Meghan in the early days of this pregnancy, so her bump looks fairly pronounced here already, perhaps around the five or six month mark. Exciting!

3) August 2018

Back we go to the very beginning of Meghan and Harry's first pregnancy... On Meghan's 37th birthday in early August, she and Harry attended the wedding of Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks. Now we know when Archie was born - 6 May, 2019 - we can track back to the very early days of Meghan Markle's first pregnancy, which is around about this time. Being in the very first days of pregnancy, Meghan wasn't showing at all here.

4) September 2018

Meghan made her debut solo engagement on September 25 at the opening of the Oceania exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts, and now we see why she went for an all-black outfit with matching decoy clutch bag. It's hard to make out the exact silhouette of the baby bump in amongst all the darkness, but now we are wise to the dates of Meghan's first pregnancy, we can see a bump is there in its very teeny, early stages (she was probably almost at 8 weeks at this point).

5) Early October 2018

Another clever outfit choice from Meghan here around the 10-week mark. Wearing a Hugo Boss high-waisted pencil skirt in a rigid material like leather meant it skimmed over her ever-so-slightly protruding stomach.

6) Late October 2018

Aaaand here it is ladies and gentleman... the bump has finally arrived. With no need to hide it anymore, following an October 15 announcement, Meghan chose numerous bump-enhancing outfits to show off her one-third-brewed baby. And she's positively glowing!

7) November 2018

On the night of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's six-month wedding anniversary, the pair headed to the Royal Variety Performance at The London Palladium.

For her first time at the event, Meghan showed off her blossoming bump while wearing a beautiful sequin monochrome halter-neck top and skirt by Safiyaa. Oh, and she’s still glowing!

8) Early December 2018

Meghan surprised everyone with an appearance at the British Fashion Awards, held at the Royal Albert Hall in early December. There, she presented her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller, with the prestigious British Womenswear Designer of the Year award.

While on stage, the Duchess cradled her growing bump. Describing Waight Keller, Meghan called her a "British designer leading on the global stage with vision and creativity, but also with incredible kindness."

9) Mid-December 2018

Later that month, Meghan made an official visit to the Royal Variety-sponsored retirement home, Brinsworth House, in Twickenham. There, she met some of the residents, old entertainment industry veterans, and was captured on camera by royal correspondent Emily Andrews telling one resident: "I’m looking very pregnant today".

But despite her bump having 'popped', Meghan assured the woman she was feeling "very good" throughout her pregnancy.

10) January 2019

While Meghan generally stuck to wearing black for a lot of outings during her pregnancy, in Birkenhead in January 2019, where she was visiting with husband Prince Harry on their first official engagement of 2019 together, the Duchess opted for a bump-hugging bright purple dress. Meghan's bump looked pretty pronounced by then, even though she had almost four months of pregnancy left to go.

11) February 2019

Just a couple of months before welcoming baby Sussex, Meghan and Harry took a last-minute trip overseas to Morocco, where they attended a number of engagements on behalf of the UK government. Meghan wore this gorgeous floaty Dior dress for a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco at the British Residence, which showed off her ever-growing bump beautifully.

12) March 2019

On her second-to-last appearance before maternity leave (being 8 months pregnant didn't seem to stifle the work ethic in Meghan Markle all that much) the Duchess of Sussex wore a white dress that skimmed over her nearly-fully-sized baby.

Meghan was looking just about as pregnant as a woman can get, at nearly full term, so goodness knows how she's feeling now, more than a month later...

13) Late March 2019

Following the awful terror attack on mosques in New Zealand, Meghan Markle made her last appearance pre-Archie with husband Prince Harry. The pair visited London's New Zealand House to sign a book of condolence on behalf of The Royal Family, and although she was dressed in a black cape, just seven weeks before giving birth, Meghan looks very heavily pregnant.
