Professional polo player Nacho Figueras is the latest high profile person to reveal gifts he has received from Meghan Markle’s American Riviera Orchard brand.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, launched the lifestyle brand earlier this year, and friends and fans including comedienne Mindy Kaling, model Chrissy Teigen, and Grey’s Anatomy actress Abigail Spencer took to Instagram to show off the strawberry jam they had been sent, that came complete with handwritten labels indicating each jar was part of a small batch of just 50.

On Saturday 15 June, Nacho posted a photo showing he has received Meghan’s latest addition to the brand - raspberry jam - and this time the label notes the jar is one of just two made, so is very exclusive. Nacho also revealed that a separate jar contained dog biscuits from Meghan’s brand in a second photo that also featured his dog Nina Iggy.

A full launch of Meghan’s products is expected later this year. Not much is known about the items as yet, but a trademark application filed in February states that American Riviera Orchard wants to offer recipe books, textiles, tableware, and jams and marmalades for sale to the public.

Nacho’s Instagram post about his gifts from Meghan coincided with the Trooping the Colour events taking place in London.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not attend this year’s or 2023’s Trooping the Colour, which celebrates the birthday of King Charles III. The couple, who were regular attendees in 2018 and 2019, have found themselves excluded from several key royal events since they stepped down from the monarchy and moved to the United States.

Prince Harry also recently missed the wedding of his close friend Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster to Olivia Henson on Friday 7 June, although his brother Prince William was an usher at the ceremony.

Considered the society wedding of the year, Harry reportedly turned down the invitation for fear of awkward encounters with family members he is no longer close to.

US publication PEOPLE Magazine, have said they can "confirm" that the Duke of Sussex was invited to the wedding, but chose not to attend.

The magazine claimed "there was an acknowledgment on both sides that it would be difficult for Harry to attend", adding that it was an "understanding between the two friends", according to a source.

"The decision certainly avoided the inevitable clamour had estranged brothers Prince William and Prince Harry both attended the nuptials, eliminating the possibility of the big day being overshadowed for the couple," said the insider.
