Meghan Markle is unrecognisable in Katharine McPhee's throwback photo

She’s one of the most famous women in the world now but we had to do a double take before we recognised Meghan Markle in this epic throwback snap.
The 37-year-old pregnant Duchess of Sussex looks completely different in the shot, which was posted to Instagram by American actress and singer Katharine McPhee.
Katherine, who was the runner-up on the fifth season of American Idol is most-known for her role on Scorpion, used to be mates with Meghan, before she became a member of the royal family.

“Meghan and I did musicals together as kids,” Katherine said in the caption.
“She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me. #TBT.”
People couldn’t get over how different both of the actresses looked in the photo, which showed them dressed in costume and wearing bright red lipstick.
Meghan grew up in Hollywood and even attended the Little Red Schoolhouse until she was 11-years-old.

Then she went on to double major in Theatre and International Relations at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 2003.
Her biggest role was as Rachel Zane in Suits, with the now Duchess staying with the show for seven seasons before moving to London to marry Prince Harry.
It’s a long way from Meghan Markle’s current role, which saw her visiting the Association of Commonwealth Universities in London yesterday.
Meghan braved the cold in a black, caped Givenchy coat (first seen at the Remembrance service in November) with a handkerchief pleated skirt and nude court shoes.
