With rumours that Meghan Markle has already asked her mother, Doria Ragland, to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day, we imagine the 36-year-old's head must be overflowing with ideas for her guests on her big day.

Whether it's the location of the wedding reception, the dress, the tiara and the music for her first dance with fiancé, Prince Harry, we can only imagine the stress she's feeling about ensuring her wedding goes without a hiccup.

However, in keeping with her desire to break tradition (after all, she was the first non-royal member of the Monarchy to spend Christmas with the Queen), it's now being reported the Suits star has already made a big decision when it comes to her bridal party.

A source has told US Weekly the bride has decided to shun convention yet again with her latest wedding decision and already chosen a maid of honour, as opposed to a chief bridesmaid as is usually British custom.

'While it is very much a British wedding, expect a few American touches too. She's not picked a chief bridesmaid, she's chosen a maid of honour,' the source explained.

While the Californian is yet to announce who has nabbed the honourable role, we have a feeling her best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney, actress and BFF Priyanka Chopra and Suits co-star Sarah Rafferty might be in the running for the coveted position.

Meanwhile, it's rumoured that despite Prince Harry's close knit group of friends, he only has one best man in mind to take up the top job on his big day.

'Harry has several close guy friends, but there's no way he would ask anyone but William to take on the top job,' a source told US Weekly last month.

With bridal party decisions on the brain, we have a feeling how much the pair's wedding will affect the British economy won't exactly be at the forefront of the couple's mind.

However, according to an estimate provided by Reuters, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials will help bring in around $680 million (500 million pounds) to Great Britain.

'We think approximately 200 million pounds will come from tourism, travel, hotels,' Brand Finance's chief executive David Haigh told Reuters. That amount translates to over $270 million.

Meghan, if you need a maid of honour back up, you know where we are.
