Ahead of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding on Friday 10 October at Windsor Castle, it's just been revealed that her cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will reportedly miss part of the pair's big day.

The duke and duchess of Sussex will be two members of an 850-strong guest list at St George's Chapel, where they tied the knot in May, joining countless A-list celebrities to celebrate the couple's union.

However, a source has told Harper's Bazaar that the pair will miss part of the wedding after-party to give themselves plenty of travel time for their flight to Australia for their upcoming tour next week.

Unlike other royal weddings, Eugenie and Jack's special day will reportedly span across two days, including a lunchtime soirée after the ceremony and an evening reception later in the evening at Royal Lodge. The couple are also expected to be throwing a second, festival-inspired party on Saturday 13 October, reports Entertainment Tonight.

'There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, bloody Marys for the hangovers and a festival vibe,' a source told The Times.

However, we're unlikely to see Meghan eating candy floss and playing 'hook a duck' at the party, as the couple will begin their 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji on Monday 15 October.

In order to arrive on time, the couple will need to leave London some time on Saturday in order to allow for the 22-hour flight time and nine-hour time difference.

Prince Harry's step-mother, Camilla duchess of Cornwall, will also be unable to take part in the wedding because she had already agreed to attend another engagement.

The news will no doubt come as somewhat of a disappointment to the royal couple as Meghan reportedly took on a new role as an unofficial wedding planner for Eugenie following her wedding at the same location.

According to The Mail Online: 'Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank made a trip to see the couple around a month ago for Meghan to help the bride-to-be with her wedding plans.'

The duchess and and princess reportedly met up at the 37-year-old's Cotswolds home in Oxfordshire's Great Tew Estate for some help with the wedding plans.

Eugenie and Jack became engaged in January and will televise their wedding on ITV.
