Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Share Pics With Children Ahead of Royal Baby's Arrival

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are preparing to be first-time parents, but they already have a lot experience with kids!

As the whole world awaits the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's announcement that their first child has been born, the couple took to Instagram on Friday to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth. The post was a sweet one, as it contains several photos of the pair posing with adorable kids from their travels and royal events.

The Commonwealth is important to the expectant parents as it serves as a champion for youth empowerment, which is one of the couple's main focuses. "Through The Duke and Duchess’ Commonwealth travels, they have worked with and supported young leaders on mobilizing youth engagement, and working towards a more unified future that spearheads progress, sustainability, optimism, and taking action," the post reads.

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth - a family of 53 countries working together to promote democracy, protect human rights, regenerate the environment, and focus not on what makes us different - but rather what we have in ‘common.’ What unites us versus what divides us. Representing nearly one third of the world’s population, 60% of whom are under the age of 30, the Commonwealth also serves as a champion for youth empowerment, which is a key focus of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Her Majesty The Queen serves as patron of the @queens_commonwealth_trust, which Their Royal Highnesses proudly serve as President and Vice-President of. The Duke is also Commonwealth Youth Ambassador. Through The Duke and Duchess’ Commonwealth travels, they have worked with and supported young leaders on mobilizing youth engagement, and working towards a more unified future that spearheads progress, sustainability, optimism, and taking action. With that said, Mozambique, a member state of the Commonwealth, is currently enduring Cyclone Kenneth, the most destructive natural disaster the northern coast has ever experienced. On the heels of Cyclone Idai (where over 1000 people lost their lives) this cyclone will leave the people of Mozambique victim to catastrophic flooding, food insecurity, displacement, and obliteration of their homes and villages. However with fans on constant baby watch, some followers joked about anticipating Baby Sussex every time the Sussex Royal account posts a photo.

"I think it's time I turn my notification off, I can't take the mini heart attack any more," one user wrote.

Another commented, "You know you’re making us jump every time you post!! 👶🏼 🍼," while a third said, "Great post but nearly gave me heart failure as my alerts on for baby news 😬😅."

ET learned on Friday that the royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, visited Meghan and Harry at Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle after the Easter service.

"It wasn’t just William and Kate. A number of family members went over to see Meghan and Harry at Frogmore following the family Easter celebration at St George’s Chapel," a royal source told ET. This was the first time that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the couple's new home since they moved there earlier this month.
